All riding is by prior appointment. Please phone to book. Adult rides and lessons take place on Wednesdays and Sundays. Children's lessons take place on Saturdays and Wednesday PM during term time, and midweek during official school holiday periods.
Regular riding is subject to a waiting list. Prices are effective from 1st April 2017. Please see details and prices below.
All riders must complete a rider registration form before their first lesson or ride. Just complete it in advance and bring it with you when you come for your first ride.
Telephone 01702 525571 on Saturday or Sunday between 9.00am and 3.30pm to book lessons and rides. We regret we cannot accept bookings or amendments/cancellations by email.
All rides and lessons, except pony rides must be booked in advance.
Six week courses of half-hour lessons are available for all ages and standards (one lesson per week).
Group escorted hour rides (hacks) for experienced adult riders only. An assessment is required for any new rider wishing to be considered.
Hour rides for beginner/intermediate riders may be available mid-week and during official school holiday periods. Please see “Casual riding”.
Group lessons are available to those looking for the odd “one off” lesson, or to those who are keen to be offered a regular riding appointment and are on, or wish to be included on our waiting list.
They are available midweek throughout school holiday periods. We take bookings for these from two weekends prior to the start of school holiday periods. Hour rides for beginner/intermediate non-members are offered subject to availability midweek during official school holiday periods.
Pony rides are available for children aged 4 years and over. They are available throughout the year on Sundays from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Booking not necessary. Just arrive at the advertised times.
A full booking fee will be charged unless a minimum of 24 hours notice is given and we will try and re-arrange your lesson or ride. Cancellations for holidays must be made in advance and again, we will try and re-arrange your appointment.
Cancellations must be made in person or by phone - we can't accept cancellations by email. Please also note that if you do need to phone the riding school the office is not manned on the horses' rest days - Mondays and Fridays.

Riding hats must be worn by all riders. These are available for loan free of charge from the Riding School. Suitable footwear and clothing must also be worn.Advice on what to wear
Horses can be unpredictable and riding carries risks. Riders will therefore be required to complete and sign a 'Rider Registration Form' to acknowledge the conditions of the Riding School and to confirm your previous experience. This will also help us select a suitable horse for you.
